WARREN OLIVER "Berney" WEATHERSPOON, age 48 of York, Alabama, was born to the union of Warren Oliver Thompson and Frankie Mae Matthews Weatherspoon in Cleveland, Ohio. He entered into eternal rest May 7, 2022 at UAB Medical Center, Birmingham. Graveside Service of Remembrance and Life Celebration is slated for Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, located 1000 Old US Highway 11, Cuba, Alabama with Pastor James E. Granger delivering the eulogy and expressing words of comfort and consolation. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled Friday evening (May 13th) from 3-6:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel. On Saturday afternoon, the processional (funeral cortege) leaves from Weatherly for the cemetery at 12:40 p.m. Please turn on flashing headlights for safety. After the committal service, repast is being held at the Morning Star Community Center, Cuba. Warren was raised in Cuba, Alabama and graduated from Sumter County High School of York, Alabama. He later moved to Bessemer, Alabama and became the father of three children: DeWarren and Trevez Weatherspoon and Cerriunna Jackson. Those who remain to cherish precious memories are: his Children, his mother-Frankie Mae Weatherspoon, a brother, William (Arlesha) Matthews, a sister, Danielle (Milan) Thomas; three aunts, Mattie B. Hill, Shirley Morgan and Dorothy Hall; two uncles - Bill and Jimmy Matthews; four nieces, four nephews, fourteen first cousins and many other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.
