David Denard Loyd, age 50, of Riverdale, Georgia, was born in Baptist Medical Center, Montgomery, Alabama on November 21,1971 to Patricia and Bradford Loyd. Although unexpected, he peacefully transitioned surrounded by loving family from life to eternity September 23, 2022. Graveside Service of Memory and Life Celebration is slated for Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in Elmwood Memorial Gardens; located 11313 US Highway 11, York, Alabama. His step father, Rev. Darrell Jones will deliver the eulogy offering words of comfort and consolation with Sis. Mary Jo Square serving as Mistress of Order. Private visitation for the family is from 1:00-3:00 p.m. with pubic viewing and walk through from 3-6:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel. David confessed faith in Christ at an early age in Montgomery, Alabama. David’s parents traveled for many years but in 1980 his parents divorced, and his mother moved back to York, Alabama. David attended Livingston High School where he became the Drum Major for the High School Band. After graduation he attended Tuskegee University where he joined the Tuskegee Marching Crimson Piper Band. He became a member of the National Honorary Band Fraternity, Kappa Kappa Psi and joined the Masonic Brotherhood. Later he moved to Atlanta, Ga where he worked in several positions until he started his truck driving career; a job that he loved. While in Atlanta he continued to hold his place with the Tuskegee Marching Band, his Fraternity and Masonic Brotherhood. He enjoyed playing poker, fishing, and spending time with his family especially his grandkids. He was a loving son, brother, father, fiance’ and friend. David leaves to cherish his memories - his mother Patricia (Darrell) Jones, father Bradford Loyd; three sons-Fredrick Fuller, Jacori and Trevian Loyd; his three grandchildren, Xain, Reign and Karma; sister-Shenecca Loyd, brother Ronnie Loyd, and a devoted fiance’ Kimberly Lacewell; two aunts, Juanita German & Merry (Jimmie) Brown; uncles, Mose, Jr and Robert (Carrie) Wimberly and a host of other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.
