WILLIE LOUIS MOSS, age 66, of Nashville, Tennessee, born February 14, 1957 in York, Alabama to the late Amanda Fowler Smoot and Mr. Willie Moss. Willie went home to be with our Lord and Savior on June 8, 2023. Celebration of Life was held June 20, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Word of Life Christian Center International with Dr. Alexander Arthur, delivering the eulogy offering words of comfort and consolation. Interment followed in the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, also Nashville. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at First Baptist Church, York, Alabama. He was educated in the Sumter County School System. After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Army and served this country faithfully for twenty-two (22) years. After leaving the Military, he began a career at Allied Baird as a Security Guard and Training Manager. He found love and United in Holy Matrimony to Bonita Dailey Moss whom he loved and cherished dearly. Willie, affectionately called "Louis" and "Pops", loved the Lord and he never met a stranger. A true native son of Alabama, Willie was a die-hard fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide. "Roll Tide" was his favorite motto, and he was a true Champion just like them. He also liked nice cars, all kinds of tools, and truly enjoyed spending time with his wife and family. Willie is preceded in death by his parents; his brother Charlie Smoot and a sister, Dorothy Smoot Lindsey. Those left to celebrate and cherish a beautiful well-lived life are: his loving wife, Bonita Dailey Moss; children - Michelle (Roger) Garcia, Erica (Barrett) Battle, Finis Dailey, III and Cedric (Daisha) Dailey; grandchildren - Roger (Sharon), Briana (Tosin), Cierra (Craig), Reese, Darrius, Micah, Maxwell, Jasmine, Nakya and Alayah; great grandchildren, Trevin and Craig, III; brothers, John (Annie) Smoot, Jr., Sandy Smoot, Larry Smoot, Albert (Mary) Smoot and Rickey Smoot; Sister, Bessie Roby Smoot; a special cousin, Rachel Roberts; several other nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins, extended family and friends.
