Willie J. Luckey

WILLIE J. LUCKEY, age 66 of Pittsfield, MA., born Joe James Luckey on July 7, 1951, the son of Edward Jackson and Molly Luckey, transitioned and entered into eternal rest June 27, 2018 at Berkshire Medical Center.  Service of Remembrance will be held Friday, July 6, 2018 at 12:00 noon from West Union Baptist Church, County Road 20, Emelle, Alabama.  Rev. Marcus Lawrence, (former pastor), will deliver the eulogy and offer words of comfort and consolation; Rev. DeWayne Crockett is present pastor.  Mr. Luckey will lie in repose two hours prior to funeral time.  Interment follows with full Military Honors Detail in St. Peter Cemetery, also Emelle.        He was educated and attended schools in Alabama.  Willie was a 20-year Veteran of the United States Air Force.  After his retirement from the Military, he worked at Crane & Company in Dalton for 21 years.  Willie was loved by many and was a kind and gentle soul that will be missed by all.  His spirited energy brought smiles to any room he was in.       Those who remain to cherish precious memories are:  his partner of 22 years Kathy Meyette, his brother Willie John "Luck" Luckey, his sister, Rosie Lee Burrell and his three sons - Steven, Willie Jr. and Terry; along with numerous grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends who dearly loved him.       To the entire Luckey Family, we at Weatherly Funeral Home, offer to each of you our most sincere and heartfelt sympathies and condolences.  Our prayer remains that your abiding faith in God will continue to comfort, to strengthen and sustain you during your time of bereavement.
