WILLIE CLIFTON CURTIS, age 69, of Lisman, Alabama, affectionately known as "Bear", born to the union of Elmore and Annie Bertha Horton Curtis, transitioned and entered into eternal rest January 28, 2021 at Rush Foundation Hospital, Meridian, Mississippi. Graveside Service of Memory and Life Celebration is slated for Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 12:00 noon in Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 2612 Concord Road, also Lisman. Rev. Edward DuBose is to deliver the eulogy and offer words of comfort and consolation. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled for Thursday evening, February 3, 2021 from 3-6:00 p.m. at Hayden and Butler Funeral Home, 10031 Crowell Drive, Lisman. He was baptized at an early age and his spiritual sunrise in Christ began as he accepted Christ as his Lord and Saviour thereby becoming a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He was united in Holy Matrimony to his devoted wife, Dorothy DuBose Curtis. Those left to cherish precious memories and to celebrate a beautiful life are: his loving, devoted wife, Dorothy Curtis; three children, Cotina DuBose Fitch, Lisman, AL; Clifton S. (Leevette) Curtis, Odenton, MD; Orlando M. Curtis, Petersburg, Va; six sisters and brothers, Robert Lee (Betty) Curtis, Meridian, MS., Bobby J. (Delorise-deceased) Curtis, Lisman, AL., Patricia (Harold) Curtis-Goodman, Newnan, GA., Creasie Mills-McCoy, Duluth, Ga., Levon (Wanda-deceased) Mills, Lisman, AL., and Priscilla (Reginald) Mills-Wilcox, Lawrenceville, GA; six grandchildren, Jarvis D. (A'Shanta) Graham, Darrington Curtis, Keyona Smith, Charli Curtis, Blakelye Curtis and Kyleigh Curtis and a host of nieces, nephews and friends and Robert Lee Curtis, Jr. who was more than just his nephew.
