William Brown, Jr.

WILLIAM BROWN, JR., age 57, of Epes, Alabama, born to William and Shirley Ruth Campbell Brown, Sr., transitioned and entered into eternal rest at his residence December 7, 2017.  Service of Remembrance is Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from Bethel Pine Baptist Church, 796 Sumter 22, Coatopa, Alabama.   Rev. Samuel Gulley (pastor of Miller Hill Baptist Church where Bro. Brown is the only deacon) will deliver the eulogy and offer words of comfort and consolation;  Rev. Floyd O. Bell is church pastor.  Interment follows in Jones Creek Cemetery, also in Epes.  On Tuesday morning the processional will line up at 10:00 a.m. from the Brown Family residence located 26495 Dr. MLK Highway.        Those who remain to celebrate his life and to cherish precious memories are:  a loving, devoted wife, Betty Bailey Brown;  his dear mother, Shirley Ruth Brown;  his children - Tory, Lucinda (Derrick) and William, III; grandchildren - Tory L., Sidney, Tavion, Jalen, McKenzie, Ka'Niya, Caleb, Kaylia, Kaylee, Ayden and Baylee;  siblings - Mary (Terry) Idrell, Gertrude (Willie) Roberts, Muriel (Donnie) Williams, Warren (Faye) Brown, Wallace Brown, Whitney (Tina) Brown, Patrick (DeAngela) Brown and Geraldine (Ricky) Davis; two aunts - Clara and Leona Jones;  two sisters-in-law, Lurena James and Mary Taylor; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many other friends and relatives who loved him dearly and he will truly be missed by all.   William was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and dear friend.  He is preceded in death by his father, William Brown, Sr. two sisters,  McCine Brown Johnson and Ruby Rodgers.       To his wife, Betty Bailey Brown and the entire Brown Family, we at Weatherly Funeral Home, offer to each of you our most sincere and heartfelt sympathy and condolences.  Our prayer remains that your abiding faith in God will continue to comfort, to strengthen and sustain you during your many hours of sorrow.
