ShaKeira LaTrease Russell, age 32, of Columbus, Ohio took her triumphant journey from labor to reward to eternal rest on early Saturday morning, July 1, 2023. On May 3, 1991, ShaKeira LaTrease Russell was the only child born to Vivian Russell and Keith Tutstone in Cleveland, Ohio. Graveside Service of Memory and Life Celebration is slated for Saturday afternoon, July 15, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in Home Mission Gardens, off of Millville Road 19, York, Alabama. ShaKeira was baptized at a young age at First Trinity Baptist Church in Flint, Michigan. After moving to Columbus, Ohio in 2004, ShaKeira and her mother united with the Mount Hermon Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Donald J. Washington where she formed relationships and bonds as she served in the Mime, Choir and Usher ministries. She was educated in the Westerville Public School System and was a 2010 graduate of Westerville Central High School. Her love and care for her precious rambunctious jewels, ShaNiya, KaLiyah,Taylor and infant son, Dior was one of the many hallmarks of her life. As a devoted and loving mother, she was always active in their lives. ShaKeira was employed with the KIPP Public Charter School where she served as a dedicated preschool teacher. A mommy’s girl, ShaKeira’s mother Vivian was her everything who shed her protective love around her, and who were best friends from the heart. ShaKeira was preceded in death by her grandparents, Leroy and Mattie Russell; Elton and Minerva Tutstone; aunt, Deanna Tutstone; cousins, Michael Sanders and LaShanta Russell. Her life will be forever cherished by her four children, daughters ShaNiya Russell, KaLiyah Russell, Taylor Russell and son, Dior Russell; mother, Vivian Russell and father, Keith Tutstone; favorite uncles and aunts, LeRoy Russell, Jr., of Lawton, Oklahoma, John (Charlene) Louis of Cleveland, Ohio; aunts, Joyce Russell of York, Alabama, Brenda Houston of Wixom, Michigan, Michele Croom of Cleveland, Ohio; special uncle and aunt, Rev. Dehaven and Nona Lee; special family friends, Tamara Hood and family, and Willie McNeal of York, Alabama; devoted sister friend, Keisha Reese; Godmother, Elsie Ortiz of Cleveland, Ohio; and a host of other relatives, family and friends.
