WREX THOMPSON, age 62, of Gordo, Alabama, born July 5, 1959 to the union of Jack and Beatrice Speights Thompson, transitioned and entered into eternal rest November 7, 2021 at 1:49 a.m. at UAB Medical Center, Birmingham. Wrex gave his life to Jesus Christ at an early age and joined Bodka Valley Baptist Church. His early years of education were received in the public schools of Kemper County, MS. Service of Memory and Life Celebration is slated for Monday, November 15, 2021 at 12:00 noon in Bodka Valley Cemetery, Scooba, Mississippi, located 2449 Bodkka Valley Road with Rev. James E. Granger who will deliver the eulogy, to offer words of comfort and consolation. Those who are left to cherish precious memories are: his daughter, Tonya Thompson of York, AL., siblings – Jerrie Thompson, Flint, MI, Sarah (Forrest) Isaac, Grand Blanc, MI, Joycelyn (A. C.) Robertson, Scooba, MS, Lana (Robert) Green, Columbus, MS, Chakeer Thompson, Emelle, AL., Lorraine (Melvin) Wright, Geiger, AL, Reginald (Alesia) Smith, Tuscaloosa, Al, Glenda Smith, Ethelsville, AL, Diane Gardner, Hoover, Al, and Darlene Smith of Montgomery, AL; two aunts, Eula Boone, Flint, MI and Celia Dickerson, Chicago, IL, one uncle- L. C. (Luevenia) Speights of Flint, MI, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a special devoted friend Bonnie Moden-Thompson. Family who preceded in death are his parents and his brother Jack Thompson, Jr. Truly Wrex will be missed by all those who loved him and all those whom he also loved!
