LORAIN HALL, age 65 – Born August 19, 1956 to Jessie & Maggie Pearl Hall, both of whom preceded him in death. Along with brothers: Jessie Hall, Jr. & One day old twin Floyd Hall, John Hall, and Levi Hall. Sisters: Rose Hall and Freddie Hall. Lorain grew up in the Baptist Church from a child to adulthood; until a few years ago when he began studying with Brother Hopson of the Jehovah Witness faith. Lorain was a graduate of Sumter County High School - Class of 1973. After graduation, Lorain started his own business in Livingston (Hall’s Record Shop) for a time and later he decided to joined the Navy (1977-1984) and become an Occupational Therapist. Staying in CA after military life – he later moved back to AL with his wife Mary and started a family. Lorain was a smart and adventurous guy, he loved trying new things like being a Disco D.J. in his youth and later a gardener of natural living. Lorain leaves to cherish his memories – His Sons: Terrell (Crystal) Evans, Gregory L. Hall, Malacochran (Carleen) Hall, Mohirah Hall, Omaya Hall and His Daughters: Ecstasy Dees and Zaana Hall. His Grand Babies: JaNai’, Terrell Justin, Joshua, Shannon, Kalino, and Markarious. His Siblings - Brothers: James (Joyce) Watson of Cleveland, OH, Ben (Ruby) Watson of Southfield, MI., Eddie Hall of Cleveland, OH, Leroy (Gwen) Hall of Warrenville, IL., Frankie (Gwen) Hall of Demopolis, AL, and Willie Bishop of York, AL. Sisters: Jane Chaney & (Charles) of Cleveland, OH, Katie Hall and Glennis “Sylvia” Bishop of Cleveland, OH, Innis “Patricia” Bishop, and Margaret (Dan) Bishop-Gulley of York, AL. His Adopted Sisters: Yvonne (Brian) Hunt of Birmingham, and Shantesha Bishop, of York. Along with a host of former Sisters-in-Law, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Classmates, and Friends. We would like to thank all of the most recent Care-Givers (Elnora Danner, Rosetta Mack, “Bunny” whose name is: Ryleshia TaiMaiyiha Brooks, Tonji McCorkle & Margaret McCorkle) and all of the previous Care-Givers - for all of your help in taking care of Lorain. Graveside Memorial Service and Celebration of Life Dedication will be held Sunday afternoon, September 5, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in Elmwood Memorial Gardens, 11313 US Highway 11, York, Alabama with Brother David Hopson offering a message of inspiration and consolation.
