Lillian Morris Christian, age 88, of Epes, Alabama, born to the late Zephaniah Woodruff Morris and Alberta Pratt, passed at DCH Regional Medical Center, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, May 6, 2017. Service of remembrance will be Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Sumterville Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. John Meeks delivering the eulogy and offering words of comfort and consolation; Rev. Ben Broaden is church pastor. Interment follows in Louden Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled Friday evening (May 12th) from 3:00-6:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel. The processional leaves from the Christian family residence at 10:40 a.m.  Repast will be in the Fellowship Hall at the church following the committal service.          She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Christian; two sons- Zephaniah (Dorothy) and Franklin Morris.        Those who remain to celebrate her life and to cherish precious memories are: Her children – Odessa (Ben) Broaden, Jim (Ruby) Morris, Edward (Zipporah) Morris and Doretha Morris, all of Epes, AL., Lorena Morris, Montgomery, AL., Edna Morris, Richmond, VA., Ethel Morris of Huntsville, AL; and a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Morris of Palm Bay, FL; twelve (12) grandchildren; fifteen (15) great grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends who loved her dearly and she will surely be missed by all.         To the Christian and Morris families, we at Weatherly Funeral Home offer to you our most sincere and heartfelt sympathies and condolences.  Our prayer remains that your abiding faith in God will continue to comfort, to strengthen and sustain you during your many hours of bereavement.
