LEROY "Larry" RUFFIN, age 61, of Bellamy, Alabama, born February 18, 1960 in Lisman, Choctaw County, Alabama to the union of the late James and Emma Dell Smith Ruffin, peacefully transitioned and entered into eternal rest January 11, 2022 at Sumter Health and Rehabilitation, York, Alabama. Service of Memory and Life Celebration is slated for Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Weatherly Funeral Home with Rev. Marcus Lawrence delivering the eulogy, offering words of comfort and consolation. Interment follows in Elmwood Memorial Gardens, 11313 US Highway 11, Also York, Alabama. There will be no visitation on Friday due to concerns over Covid increases. Larry was a member at Morning Star Baptist Church, Bellamy. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. After attending Choctaw County High, he relocated to Bellamy where he resided. Larry was employed with American Can and Oliver Truck Stop as a Fuel Technician. Those who preceded him in death are his parents, three brothers-Roy Ruffin, James Ruffin Jr. and Elijah Ruffin. And those who remain to cherish precious memories are: his loving sisters, Lisa (Al) Pettaway and Maggie Ruffin; nine brothers- Norman (Charlotte) Ruffin, Lonnie (Mary) Ruffin, Fredrick, Pete, Kenneth, Rickey, Tyrone, Albert Ruffin and Roy Moffett; a host of aunts and uncles that loved him dearly; and numerous nieces, nephews that will forever miss him.
