LARRY EARL CAUSEY, age 69, of York, Alabama, affectionately known as "Mike" was born January 8, 1953 to the union of the late Joe Nathan and Martha Davis Causey, Sr. on January 8, 1953. In his childhood years, Mike attended elementary school and junior high in Sumter County, Alabama He graduated with his high school diploma from York West End High School in 1971. He later joined the US Air Force, faithfully serving his country. After leaving the Air Force, he returned home to York, Alabama. His career did not rest from there because he spent many years in construction as a bricklayer in Birmingham, Alabama. Later, he worked as a lab equipment technician for the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Massachusetts. Mike was baptized as a young man at the Hixon Baptist Church under Rev. Robert Jamison. He faithfully attended Holbrook Congregational Church in Holbrook, Massachusetts, and later attended Morning Star Baptist Church in Mattapan, MA. For Mike, there was nothing like putting on a sharp suit, or outfit, and of course, a hat to match. He loved to dress to impress. Mike returned home to York, Alabama in 2018 where he lived until the Lord called him home as he transitioned at his residence October 18, 2022 at 1:10 p. m. Graveside Service of Memory and Life Celebration with military detail is slated for Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Causey Family plot of Elmwood Memorial Gardens, 11313 US Highway 11, also York, Alabama. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled Friday evening (Nov. 4th) from 2-5:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel. He has now joined his loved ones in the Heavenly realm: his beloved parents, the late Joe Nathan and Martha Davis Causey, Sr., siblings - Johnny, Anthony, David, Cedric and Leroy Causey; Ann and Jeannette Belin and Joe Nathan Causey, Jr. Those who remain to cherish memories and to Celebrate his life are: his loving siblings, Mattie and Hunter Austin, both of Holbrook, MA., Bob Causey, Alice Rowe and Charlie Rowe, all of Wichita, KS; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, many cousins and a host of extended family and friends.
