Julia Maxine Dawson

JULIA MAXINE DAWSON, age 75, of York, Alabama, transitioned at her daughter's residence, June 17, 2017 at approximately 12:10 a.m.  Service of Remembrance is Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Eastern Star Baptist Church, 112 Curl Road, in the Grant City Community of York.  Rev. Charles H. Delaine is to deliver the eulogy and offer words of comfort and consolation.  Interment follows in Elmwood Memorial Gardens, Highway 11-East, also in York.  After the committal service repast is in the Fellowship Hall of Eastern Star.  Sister Dawson will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.  Visitation for family and friends is scheduled Friday evening (June 23rd) from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel.        Those who remain to celebrate her life and to cherish precious memories are:  a devoted, loving daughter, Yolanda Dawson Washington of York, AL., four (4) sisters - Ellen D. Hale, Hyattsville, MD, Gwenevere Richardson, Mattapan, MA, Carolyne (Arthur) Richardson Phillips of Milton, MA. and Shelia Richardson of Mattapan, MA;  several God Children;  nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous other relatives and friends who loved her dearly and she will truly be missed.              To the entire Dawson Family, we at Weatherly Funeral Home, offer to each of you our most sincere and heartfelt sympathies and condolences.  Our prayer remains that your abiding faith in God will continue to comfort, to strengthen and to sustain you during your many hours of bereavement.
