January 3, 1961 — January 30, 2022

Jacqueline Louise Davis, age 61, of York, Alabama, born to the union of the late George M. and Bessie Lee Graves Davis, Sr. peacefully transitioned and entered into eternal rest January 30, 2022 when God whispered " It is time to rest my child; then He sent an angel to take her home" at Bryan Whitfield Memorial Hospital, Demopolis, Alabama. Graveside Service of Memory and Life Celebration is slated Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Davis Family plot of Elmwood Memorial Gardens, 11313 US Highway 11, also York. Rev. Wesley Winston, pastor of Mt. Powell Baptist Church will deliver the eulogy, offering words of comfort and consolation. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled Friday evening (Feb 4th) from 3-5:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel. Jacqueline confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Mt. Powell Missionary Baptist Church in York, Alabama. She graduated from Sumter County High School in 1979. She was a very loyal and faithful employee of Sumter Health and Rehabilitation of York, Alabama as a CNA. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother; Cleveland Lewis of St. Louis, Missouri, two sisters; Janie Wilson of St. Louis, Missouri and Dorothy Davis of York, Alabama; Three (3) nephews; Tony Davis, Marcus Ray Davis, and Gary Davis; Two (2) nieces: Shanice Davis and LaShayla Davis. She leaves to cherish her precious memories two(2) sisters : Shearon Davis of York, Alabama and Willie Mae Johnson of Cleveland Ohio; four(4) brothers: George Davis Jr., Darrell (Mary) Davis, Lovett (Veronica) Davis, and R. D. Croom, all of York, Alabama. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. To the entire Davis Family, your friends and neighbors here at Weatherly Funeral Home, offer to each of you our most sincere and heartfelt sympathy and condolences.
