“The King then said unto his servants, “Do you not know that a Prince, a great man, has fallen today" Hiawatha Edward Studdard, Jr. age 78 of Birmingham, Alabama, affectionately known as "H.E." was born May 31, 1944 - the first born son to the union of the late Hiawatha E. and Christie Lee Clark Studdard, Sr; one of ten siblings and was the delight of their lives. He peacefully transitioned to the Holy will of God and was welcomed into His divine Kingdom, June 1, 2022. Service of Memory and Life Celebration is slated for Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 12:00 p. m. at Westside Funeral Home with his brother in Christ, Rev. Derrick Hudson delivering the eulogy offering words of comfort and consolation. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled from 3-6:00 p.m. June 7, 2022, also Westside Chapel, located 5695 Valley Road, Fairfield 35064. Interment follows in Valhalla Memorial Gardens, 839 Wilkes Road, Birmingham. H. E. is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Carolyn, his siblings-Loretta Studdard, Brenda S. Waugh and Eula S. Charles. Those who remain to cherish precious memories and to celebrate a beautiful well-lived life are: two loving and caring children – Demetra ("MiMi") and Damion ("Tony") Studdard; his grandchildren; Brianna, Brooklyn, Brayden and Kayden; one great grandchild – Au’Brielle; a daughter-in-love, Brittany Powell; a sister-in-love Barbara Chapman; six siblings, Jacqueline S. Weatherly, James H. (Gerri), Dwight (Shelby) , Kevin (Bobbie), Sylvia and Brian Studdard; many nieces and nephews who adored him; cousins, other relatives, and numerous friends, church members and associates who loved him dearly and whom he also loved.
