Grover C Johnson , a beloved husband, son, and dedicated boiler operator, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. at Merit Health River Oaks Medical Center, Flowood, MS. He was born on January 8, 1959, in Shuqualak, Mississippi, to the union of Otis C. and Gertrude Robinson Johnson.  Grover lived a fulfilling life for 65 years.

Grover was a hardworking man known for his unwavering commitment to his profession. He spent several years employed as a boiler operator in the lumber industry, working for McFarland Cascade. Through his dedication and skill, he made a lasting impact on his colleagues and the community.

Grover's warm and caring personality endeared him to those around him. He had a heart full of love for his family, including his devoted wife Stephanie Green Johnson. He cherished every moment spent with her, creating memories that will forever be cherished.

To honor the life of Grover C Johnson, a funeral service will be held on January 20, 2024, at 11:00 am at Ivy Grove Baptist Church, located 4396 Mahorner Road, Shuqualak, where family, friends, and community members will gather to celebrate his life and offer their final goodbyes. He will receive family and friends for a scheduled visitation one hour prior to funeral time.  Rev. Erek Yarbrough will deliver the eulogy, offerng words of comfort and consolation; Rev. Conston Scott is pastor. The church, filled with love and support, will be a testament to the impact Grover had on the lives of those around him.

Following the service, Grover will be laid to rest at St. Peters United Methodist Church Cemetery, 5093 Mahorners Road, Shuqualak, Mississippi. It will be a moment of reflection and closure for those who loved and admired him.

During this difficult time, let us come together to remember Grover as a devoted family man, a hardworking professional, and a loving soul. His kind heart and gentle spirit will forever be cherished and remembered. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
