FREDDIE MAE HALL-BLACKWELL, age 66, of York, Alabama, born April 4, 1954 to the union of Jessie and Maggie Pearl Hall, both of whom preceded her in death; along with brothers - Jessie Hall, Jr. and one-day old twin Floyd Hall, brother John Hall and sister Rose Hall. She transitioned and entered into eternal rest April 6, 2020 at DCH Regional Medical Center, Tuscaloosa. Graveside Service of Memory is slated for Saturday morning, April 11, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in Elmwood Memorial Gardens, Highway 11-East, York, Alabama, with Rev. Patrick E. Granger (Pastor of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Cuba) delivering the eulogy and offering words of comfort and consolation. Several years ago Freddie joined the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church of Cuba, Alabama under the leadership of Rev. Ronnie Walk. Now, the Church is under the pastorate of Rev. Patrick E. Granger. Freddie was a twin to Frankie Hall. They celebrated their 66th birthday on Saturday, April 4, 2020. She was a graduate of Sumter County High School - Class of 1972. After graduation, Freddie moved to Cleveland, OH where she stayed for many years before moving back home. During her stay in Cleveland, she worked at the Ford Motor Company- Cleveland, OH plant for several years. Upon returning home, she worked at: Georgia Pacific, Bellamy; Mannington Wood Floors Epes; the Sumter County Board of Education (SCHS); Sumter Academy; Russell Academy and as a temp with Kelly Services of Meridian, MS. and working with the Sumter County Board of Education (KJHS). Freddie leaves to cherish sweet memories: siblings - her loving and devoted twin brother, Frankie (Gwen) Hall of Demopolis, AL., Jane Chaney and (Charles) of Cleveland, OH., James (Joyce) Watson, also Cleveland, OH, Ben (Ruby) Watson, Southfield, MI., Katie Hall, Eddie Hall, and Levi (San) Hall, all of Cleveland, OH, Lorain Hall of York, AL, Leroy (Gwen) Hall of Warrenville, IL., Yvonne (Brian) Hunt, Birmingham, AL., Shantesha Bishop, of York, AL., Glennis "Sylvia" Bishop of Cleveland, OH., Innis "Patricia" Bishop, Willie Bishop, and Margaret (Dan) Bishop-Gulley, all of York, AL., numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers and other relatives and friends who will truly miss Freddie. We would also like to thank Doretha Lawrence for all of her help to the family as a devoted friend to Freddie.
