Eva J Emerson

EVA J. EMERSON, age 86 of York, Alabama born to the union of Eli Gray and Rachel Scott transitioned and entered into eternal rest January 26, 2019 at Rush Foundation Hospital, Meridian, MS.  A graveside Service of Remembrance is slated for Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 2 p.m. from St. John Cemetery, Panola, Alabama, with Bro. Herman Ward Jr. offering words of comfort and consolation;  Rev. James Maddox is church pastor.  After the committal service, repast and fellowship is at the Gainesville City Hall.  Visitation for family and friends is scheduled for Friday afternoon (Feb. 8th) from 2-5:00 p.m. in the Weatherly chapel.  On Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. the processional leaves from the Emerson residence, located 210 East 5th Avenue. Those who remain to celebrate a beautiful life and to cherish precious memories are:  her daughter, Deborah Frelix, her sister Ruby Bond, her granddaughter, Ebony Beckwith, loving nieces and nephews in the Speight, Pointer, Harris and Goodgame families of Ohio, Tennessee and Alabama, and her cousin, Aurelia Gholston of Birmingham, Alabama.   To the entire Emerson Family, we at Weatherly Funeral Home offer to each of you our most sincere and heartfelt sympathies and condolences.  Our prayer continues to be that your abiding faith in God will lend a measure of comfort and solace as you go through your many hours of sorrow.
