Ethel R. Degraffenreid

ETHEL R. DeGRAFFENREID, age 71, of York, Alabama, born to the late James and Fannie Solid Rowry in Sumter County; Alabama, transitioned and entered into eternal rest February 17, 2018 at 6:54 p.m. in Rush Foundation Hospital, Meridian, Mississippi.  Service of Remembrance is Thursday morning, February 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Weatherly Funeral Home Chapel with her dear friend Rev. Jimmy E. Johnson offering words of comfort and consolation.  Visitation for family and friends is scheduled Wednesday evening (Feb. 21st) from 3-6:00 p.m. also in the Weatherly Chapel.  On Thursday  morning at 10:40 a.m., the processional leaves from the DeGraffenreid residence, located 11155 US Highway 11.      Ethel leaves to cherish her memories and to celebrate a beautiful life:  a beloved husband of 50 years, Eddie DeGraffenreid, York, AL., a son, Terry (Tori) DeGraffenreid, Harvest, AL; two daughters - Nerissa Renee DeGraffenreid, Birmingham, AL., and Minister Doris Thompson of New Orleans, La., two grandchildren - Terry and Myles DeGraffenreid, Huntsville, AL., a niece, Jeanette (Willie) Walker and nephew, David Rowry, both of Columbus, MS. and a nephew, Ricky Rowry of York, Al., a special cousin, Lillie Lou Solid of Rocky Mount, N. C., along with numerous other relatives and friends who loved her dearly and truly she will be missed by all.       As our dear friend and colleague Ethel was an employee of Weatherly Funeral Home, all of the "Weatherly Family" offers the entire DeGraffenreid Family our most sincere and heartfelt sympathies and condolences.  Our constant prayer continues to be that your abiding faith in God will lend a measure of comfort and strength and will sustain you during your many hours of sorrow.
