Eric Lugusta Delaine

ERIC LUGUSTA DELAINE, age 52, of Atlanta, Georgia, affectionately known as “Scrap”, born in Hartford, Ct. to the union of William and Mary Delaine, transitioned October 10, 2020. Memorial arrangements and "Distancing Celebration of Life are slated for Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 1:30-3:30 pm. at Dantanna's, located 3400 Around a Lenox Road #304, Atlanta 30326. Public Visitation is Saturday evening before the service from 11:00am-1:00 p.m. from Young Funeral Home, 1107 Hank Aaron Dr., SW, Atlanta, Ga. 30315. During his youth, Eric graduated from Mary G. Montgomery High School in 1986; later attending the University of Alabama. He then moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1995 working at various bars within the area. In his final days, was a well-loved accomplished bartender at Dantanna’s. Eric was an avid fan and supporter of Alabama’s Roll Tide football team and also loved following the Pittsburg Steelers. He is preceded in death by his parents and a bonus daughter Farren Proby. Those who remain to cherish and celebrate an interesting and fun-filled life are: one daughter, Raven Elisa Proby, Atlanta, Ga., his sister Paulette (Emanuel) Buffer, Tuscaloosa, AL., a stepsister, Kineta McCarroll, Mobile, AL., a stepbrother, Kenneth Mitchell, Glendale, AZ., one niece, Candace Delaine, Tuscaloosa, AL., two nephews- Justin Buffer, also Tuscaloosa, AL., and Nahshon Taqi McCarroll of Mobile, AL; numerous cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends who will truly miss him.
