EDMOND JAMES, age 66, of Ward, Alabama, affectionately known as "Blue", born to the late Curtis and Bessie Mobley James, entered into eternal rest July 5, 2017 at Anderson Regional Medical Center, Meridian, Mississippi. Service of Remembrance is Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from Union Chapel CME Church, 5277 Sumter 9, Ward, with Rev. James Campbell, pastor, delivering the eulogy and offering words of comfort and consolation. Bro. Edmond will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time. Interment follows in Coakes Chapel Cemetery, also County Road 9 in Ward. After the committal service, repast is in the Fellowship Hall of Union Chapel. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled for Friday evening from 3-6:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel. On Saturday afternoon at 1:40 p.m.(July 15th) the processional leaves from the residence of his sister, Annie E. Hannah. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Jimella Laws in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; being blessed with three children from this union. After returning from Wisconsin, he joined union Chapel C.M.E. Church. Those remaining to cherish precious memories and to celebrate his life are: five (5) children; Lisa Briggs-Fuller, Dumas, Arkansas, Andre Clayton and Ricky Williamson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Eria (Flander) Hall, Birmingham, AL., Eric (Leila)James of New Britain, Connecticut; former spouse Jimella James of Birmingham, AL; twelve (12) grandchildren; four (4) great grandchildren; three (3) sisters- Annie E. Hannah, Ward, Alabama, Minnie Lee Barton, Ann ARbor, Michigan and Elizabeth Hawthorne of Birmingham, Alabama; a brother, Tyrone (Nina) James of Detroit, Michigan; first cousin, Albert (Emma) Hill, Birmingham, AL; an uncle Ross Mobley, Ward, AL., an aun,t Essie Lee Denson, York, AL., many nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.
