Edith Brown Little

EDITH BROWN LITTLE, age 78, of the Pine Grove Community of York, Alabama, born to the union of Roosevelt and Inez Sanders Taylor, transitioned and entered into eternal rest December 28, 2019 surrounded by family at the Birmingham residence of her son, Michael.  Service of Memory is slated for Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 12:00 noon from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 1435 East 4th Avenue, York, Alabama with Bro. Atkins Lewis officiating and offering words of comfort and consolation.  Interment follows in the Brown Family Plot in Pine Grove Cemetery, 1479-1885 Pine Grove Road. **(Due to inclement weather and the soil composition of Pine Grove Cemetery, interment is postponed until Monday morning, Jan. 6th at 10:00 a.m.)**  After the funeral service, repast and fellowship is being held at the Livingston Community Civic Center, 100 Country Club Road, Livingston, Alabama.  Visitation for family and friends is scheduled Friday evening (Jan. 3rd) from 3-7:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel; with the 6-7:00 p.m. hour designated for the Family Hour.  The processional will leave from Weatherly Funeral Home Saturday morning at 11:45 a.m. going to the Kingdom Hall. Cherishing her memory are her children, Martina Willis-McCullough and Michael A. (Tonya) Brown, both of Birmingham, AL., Donna Brown of Pontiac, Michigan and Antonio Brown of Tempe, Az;  nine (9) grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren;  and one sister, Ethel Cummings of Detroit, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents;  one son, Robert E. Brown and one sister, Beretha Crockett.
