EDDIE DEAN LIGHTFOOT, age 68, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, formerly of York, Alabama, was born December 29, 1952 to the union of the late Dave and Betty Graves Lightfoot, Sr. He entered into eternal rest in Tuscaloosa at Hospice of West Alabama October 9, 2021. Visitation is scheduled Friday evening, October 15, 2021 from 2-5:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel with the 4-5:00 p.m. hour designated for a Celebration of Life and Service of Memory. He accepted Christ as his personal Saviour in his youth, joining Eastern Star Baptist Church, York, Alabama. While there, he was a member of the Male Chorus. He honorably served in the United States military in the Navy and the Air Force. For years he was an aircraft mechanic on the Naval Base. He was united in Holy Matrimony July 10, 1971 to Elizabeth Ann Stallings and to this union were born three amazing children. Preceding him in death are his sons Phillip and Marcus Lightfoot, his parents, a brother, Tracy Lightfoot, a sister Alma Lightfoot and a granddaughter, Phyllis L. Johnson. Those who remain to cherish precious memories and to celebrate his life are: his loving and devoted daughter, Tameka Lightfoot Brown, Tuscaloosa, AL, two brothers, Dave(Glenda) Lightfoot and Damion Lee; three sisters- Lorraine Brunson, Wilma (Ernesto) Green and Shirley Evans; three grandchildren- Janna Lightfoot, Bernard Johnson, Jr. and Malik Lightfoot; four great grandchildren and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends, neighbors and church members.
