EDDIE JAMES DELAINE, age 83 ------ Lifelong resident of Cuba, Alabama, U.S. Army veteran, retired from Sumter County Board Of Education after more than 40 years of service, faithful member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church where he served as Musician, and later in life becoming a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church Cuba where he served as a Deacon. Service of memory will be Saturday - October 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church , located 5051 Kinterbish 10, also Cuba. Pastor Christopher Wayne Davis is officiating with Pastor Jered Gibbs serving as Eulogist with interment in Cagus Cemetery. His loving survivors are: devoted wife of over 60 years; Sarah Jane Drake Delaine, children; Edward Drexal (Cathy) Delaine, Audrey Delaine Graves, Michael and Keith Delaine, siblings; Annie Pearl Swan, Earnestine Pearce, Christine Delaine, Melva Lue Delaine, Patricia Foster, Diann Delaine, Arthur Lee (Johnnie Mae) Delaine and Reverend Charles Henry (Mattie) Delaine, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. His remains will lie in repose on Friday from 3:00 until 7:00 PM at Weatherly Funeral Home York, Alabama with Westside Funeral Home Fairfield Directing.
