REV. DARRELL KENT JONES, age 63, of York, Alabama was born in Sumter County; Alabama February 24, 1960 and entered into eternal rest surrounded by loving family and friends on Saturday morning May 6, 2023 in DCH Regional Medical Center, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Service of Memory and Life Celebration is slated for Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Eastern Star Baptist Church, 112 Curl Road, York, Alabama. Pastor, Rev Robert E. Pearce will deliver the eulogy offering words of comfort and consolation; with Sis. Jeanette Brassfield to serve as Mistress of Order. Interment follows in Eastern Star Memorial Gardens, Millville Road 19, also York, Alabama. Visitation is scheduled Friday evening (May 12th) from 4-6:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel.
