CYNTHIA WALFORD, age 74, of Pelham; Shelby County, Alabama, a beloved member of the community, born in Birmingham on February 6, 1949 peacefully transitioned November 09, 2023 at 8:26 a.m. at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster, Alabama surrounded by loving family.

Cynthia was a woman of remarkable intelligence and determination. She pursued her education with dedication and earned a Bachelor's Degree from Tuskegee University, further enriching her expansive knowledge and skills. Her academic achievements laid the foundation for a successful career, and she worked diligently until her well-deserved retirement.

Cynthia was a cherished daughter, sister, a loving mother, and a dear friend. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Kimberly and Taylor Walford, who brought immense joy and pride to her life. Cynthia's devotion to her family was paramount, and she will be remembered for her unwavering love and support.

Throughout her life, Cynthia made innumerable contributions to her community. Her compassionate nature and warm heart endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Cynthia's impact extended far beyond her immediate circle, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of many.

Funeral services to honor and celebrate Cynthia's life will be held at Westside Funeral Home, 5695 Valley Road, Fairfield, Alabama, on November 18, 2023, at 11:00 am. Prior to the service, there will be a public viewing on November 17, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  Following the funeral service, Cynthia will be laid to rest at Highlands Memorial Gardens, located 3115-18th Avenue, North, Bessemer, AL. 35020.

Cynthia Walford's legacy will live on in the hearts and memories of all who knew her. She leaves behind a rich tapestry of love, kindness, and inspiration that will continue to guide and uplift those fortunate enough to have shared in her remarkable journey.
