Charlie Lee Miller

CHARLIE LEE "Chick" MILLER, age 70, of York, Alabama, born January 10, 1949 in Sumter County; Alabama to the union of the late S. L. and Violet Cosper Miller, transitioned and entered into eternal rest November 26, 2019.  Service of Remembrance is slated for Friday, December 6, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. from the Weatherly Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Dan Richardson will offer words of comfort and consolation and deliver the eulogy with Minister Brenda K. Lake assisting.  Sister Arnetta Lucky will serve as the musician.  Interment follows in Home Mission Cemetery, Millville Road 19, also York.  The family will receive friends for viewing Thursday evening (Dec. 5th) from 2:30-5:30 p.m. and visitation is also scheduled Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Sedric Lavond;  five siblings - Wiley Childs, Eugene, Ambrous and Frank Miller and Shirley Thomas.  Those who remain to celebrate his life and to cherish memories are:  two daughters; Jacqueline Anita (Andre) Dodd and Andrella (Heriah) Dobson of Myrtle, MS;  two sisters, Sharon Milller of York, Alabama and Eunice (Roland) Mitchell of Virginia Beach, VA;  two brothers, Johnny (Betty) Miller, York, Al., and Thomas (Elizabeth) Miller of Elgin, IL;  one sister-in-law, Allen Jean Miller of Livingston, Al.,  five grandchildren;  Cedrick and Aneibra Dodd, Latashi Battle,  Heriah Dobson, Jr., and Iesha Williams;  one great-grandson;  three great-granddaughters, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will truly miss him.
