Bennie Charles Gibbs

BENNIE CHARLES GIBBS, age 66, of Lauderdale, Mississippi, born to Professor R. C. and Edna Mae Hooks Gibbs, transitioned and entered into eternal rest, November 26, 2017 at his Lauderdale residence.  Service of Remembrance is Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Elizabeth Baptist Church, 5917 Luther Ray Cobb Road, Lauderdale.  Rev. Reginald Gaddis, pastor, will deliver the eulogy and offer words of comfort and consolation.  Bro. Gibbs will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.  Interment follows in the Gibbs Family cemetery, (Morning Star Community) off of County Road #27, Cuba, Alabama.  Visitation for family and friends is scheduled Friday evening, December 1, 2017 from 3-6:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel. He leaves to cherish his precious memories and to celebrate his life a loving Mother, Edna Mae Gibbs,: (1) Daughter: Presa “Sharon” (Timothy) Jackson, (1) Son, Bennie Terrell (Kesha) Gibbs;  six (6) adorable grandkids - Breahn, Tyler, Calloni, Brandon, Talyn and Tyren Gibbs;  (5) Sisters: ILora (James) Hayes, Ella Gibbs; Lillie Willis; Rachel (Harvey) Ward; Loretta Lewis.
