Almeta Walker

ALMETA WALKER, age 66, of Centreville, Alabama, (Pineview Area) was born February 6, 1957 in Emelle; Sumter County, Alabama to the union of the late Johnson and Annie Mae Amerson Walker. She peacefully transitioned October 18, 2023 at Bibb County Medical Center, Centreville at 7:52 p.m. Graveside Service of Remembrance and Life Celebration is slated for Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in New Jones Memorial Gardens, Highway 17, Emelle. Her nephew, Pastor Carlos Walker, will deliver words of comfort and consolation. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled Wednesday evening (Oct. 25th) from 2-5:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Brenda Ann Walker-Carter. Those who remain to cherish precious memories and to celebrate a beautiful life are: four (4) sisters, Jeraldine Mills of Saginaw, MI; Earnestine (Gregory) Martin of Cuba, AL, Wanda (Bobby) Bell, Livingston, AL , and Melinda Walker also of Livingston; three brothers; Arthur (Barbara) Walker, Boyd, AL., Willie (Jeanette) Walker, Columbus, MS., and Dennis Walker of Boyd; one brother-in-law, Grover Carter, Livingston, AL., and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who loved her dearly.
