SISTER ALEAN ANNIE PORTIS BELL, age 108, was born June 29, 1915 in Cuba; Sumter County, Alabama to the union of the late Manus and Minerva Larkin Portis. She surrendered to the Will of God and peacefully transitioned May 16, 2024 at 12:55 p.m. at Sumter Health and Rehabilitation, York, Alabama. Life Celebration and Service of Remembrance is Friday morning, May 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 5051 Kinterbish 10, Cuba. Rev. C. Wayne Davis, pastor, will deliver the eulogy offering words of comfort and consolation; Sis. Julene Ruffin Delaine serving as Mistress of Order and Sis. Audrey Graves, musician.. Sister Alean will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled Thursday evening (May 23rd) from 3-6:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel. Interment and Committal follows in Cagus Cemetery. Afterwards repast is in the Fellowship Hall of the church.
