ROSIE BLANCHE JAMES ("Miss Sis Cat"), age 86, of York, Alabama, born in Sumter County Alabama to the late Clayborne and Annie Haire Hopson, passed December 24, 2016 at her daughter Glenda's residence. Service of Remembrance is Friday afternoon, December 30, 2016 at 12:00 in the Weatherly Funeral Home chapel. Brother Atkin Lewis will deliver the eulogy and offer words of comfort and consolation. Interment follows in Elmwood Memorial Gardens, Highway 11-East, York. After the committal service, repast and Fellowship is in (Lucky's -"New York Center", downtown York. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled Thursday evening (Dec. 29th) from 3-6:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel. On Friday morning at 11:40 a.m., the processional leaves from 502 Patton Street, residence of Glenda Jackson-Moore (Albert).
Those who remain to celebrate her life and to cherish precious memories are: Three (3) daughters- Annie Brown, Lillie (Joe) Anthony and Glenda Jackson (Albert) Moore, all of York, AL; seven (7) grandchildren- Joni and Johnetta Jackson, Crystal and Christopher (Ashley) Anthony, Jeremie DuBose and Roberta (W.B.) Clark and Angela (Lawrence) Robinson; thirteen (13) great grandchildren- Mariah and Mason Jackson, Londyn Anthony, Jer'Mari and Jiran DuBose, Kemora Hutton, Joey and Jerry Lake, Justin James, Jarvis and Jamar Clark, Cordale and Corey Holder; six (6) great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends who loved her dearly and she will truly be missed by all.
