George Lamont Holloway

GEORGE LAMONT "Mont" HOLLOWAY, age 38, of York, Alabama, born to Darryle Lamont Burton and Johnnie Mae Crawford, passed at his residence October 30, 2016.  Service of Remembrance is for Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at York West End Jr. High School, 515 Lincoln Street.  Rev. Walter Ball will deliver the eulogy and bring words of comfort and consolation. Mont will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.  Interment follows in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, also York.  After the committal service, fellowship and repast is in the cafeteria of York West End.  Visitation for family and friends is scheduled Friday evening (Nov. 4th) from 3-6:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel.  On Saturday afternoon at 1:30 pm the processional leaves the residence of his sister, Nicola Holloway, located at 210 Marcus Street, York.       Those who remain to celebrate his life and to cherish precious memories are:  his wife, Kendra Holloway, Muscle Shoals, AL., four sons: Daiquane Holloway of  Cleveland, Ohio; Kvion , Tavio and Kenneth Ruffin, all of Muscle Shoals, Ala., two daughters- Aleshia Coleman, York, AL., and Keona Dennis of Florence, AL;  five (5) grandchildren;  his father, Darryle (Shirley) Burton of Mendenhall, MS; a grandmother, Jessie Burton of Renton, Washington;  a loving, caring, special friend, Camilla Worbinton of York, AL., two brothers- James Burton, III, Mendenhall, MS., and Darryle Burton, Jr. of Atlanta, Ga;  five sisters- Keonna (Jimmy) Howard, Ocean Springs, Ms., Necola and Bessie Holloway, both of York, AL, Jakovia Clark and Lenemercia Burton, Renton, Washington; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who loved him dearly and he will truly be missed.       To the entire Holloway family, we at Weatherly Funeral Home offer to each of you our most sincere and heartfelt sympathy and condolences.  Our prayer remains that your abiding faith in God will continue to  comfort, to strengthen and sustain you during your time of most profound sorrow.
