MOSES WATERS, age 61, of Cuba, Alabama, born to the late Ernest H. and Sally Wesley Ward Waters, passed August 20, 2016 at Regency Hospital, Meridian, Mississippi. Service of Remembrance is Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from Grants Chapel CME Church, 5290 Kinterbish 10, Cuba, Alabama. Rev. Izea Blanks, pastor, is to deliver the eulogy and offer words of consolation. Mr. Waters will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time. Interment follows in Cagus Cemetery, also located on Kinterbish 10, Cuba. After the committal service, the family will have repast in the Fellowship hall of Grants Chapel. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled Friday evening (Aug. 26th) from 3-6:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel. On Saturday morning at 10:40 a.m. the processional will leave from his sister's residence (Hazel Diane Croom) located 604 Waters Street. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Sally and Ernest Waters, son; Lamar Waters, and a brother, Victor Waters; and the aunt who raised him - Beatrice J. Davis. Those who remain to celebrate his life and cherish precious memories are: one son, Marcus Waters of Georgia; one sister, Diane Croom of Cuba, AL; five (5) brothers- Willie Mack Rowe and Melvin Waters of Whitfield, AL., Ernest (Virginia) Waters, Jr., of Yazoo City, MS., Randy (Dorothy) Waters of Meridian, MS., and Gregory Waters of Ohio; four (4) grandchildren; Cheterica Daniels, Trajon Waters, Martavious Waters, and Navia Waters; many nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous other relatives and friends who loved him dearly and he will truly be missed by all.
