ETHEL MAE LEE, age 79, of York, Alabama, affectionately known by everyone as "Ms. TootieKey", born to the late Roosevelt and Louise Williams Lee, departed this life June 6, 2016 in Sacred Heart Hospital, Pensacola, Florida. Services of Remembrance are to be held Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 254 McConnell Street, York. Rev. Dr. Earl F. Jackson, pastor of the Damascus Road Missionary Baptist Church of Pensacola will deliver the eulogy and offer words of consolation; Rev. Jonathan Byrd is church pastor. Ms. TootieKey will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time. Interment follows in Home Mission Cemetery, off of Millville Road 19. After the committal service, the family will fellowship with friends for repast at the Progressive Life Center (110 4th Ave HWY 11 York). Visitation for family and friends is scheduled Friday evening from 3-6:00 pm in the Weatherly Chapel. On Saturday morning the processional will leave from the Lee family residence, located 218 Wren Street in the Happy Acres Community of York.
She leaves a wonderful legacy to cherish her life. Four siblings: Robert James Crowell, Jerry Crowell, Willie D. Crowell, Mary Crowell-White, all of Galesburg, IL. six children: Andrew (Irma) Lee, Meridian MS; Roosevelt (Dorothy) Lee, York, AL; Doris (Conrad) Lee; Edith Scott, both of Meridian, MS; VeRonica (Kenneth) Portis; Twanda (Bryian) Barber, both of Pensacola, Fl; twelve (12) grandchildren : Teri (Burrell) Jones, Atlanta, GA Andrea (Michael) Wynne, Seattle, WA, Shandrika Lee, Clifford Harris, Jr., Tyeshia Lee, Tobias Harris, Kenneth Portis, Jr. Jamarco Grace, Aaliyah-Paige T. Lee, Derrick Barber Jr., Dion Barber, and Kristian Portis. six Great-grand children; Tyrese Lee, Aaliyah Lee, Alicia Lee, Serenity Harris, Austin Wynne, & Corey Wynn; four adopted grandchildren- Cassandra Jordan, Dorian Thompson, Shatika Provo, & Roshuntee Stanard; Jessie Mae Clark, York, AL, the cousin who was like a sister; Diana Delaine, the neighbor like a daughter; two Goddaughters, Wanda Gulley, Livingston, AL; Diana Gray, Pensacola FL; innumerable family and friends that thought very highly of her and she loved just as much!
