Mary Eleanor Smith

SIS. MARY ELEANOR SMITH, age 71, of Clanton, Alabama, born in Sumter County, Alabama to the late J. B. And Melvina Powell Clark, departed this life Sunday, June 5, 2016 in Clanton.  Service of Remembrance is to be held Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. from Johnson Baptist Church, Carl Turk Road 12, Livingston, Alabama.  Rev. John Powell will deliver the eulogy and offer words of consolation;  Rev. Samuel Harris is church pastor.  Interment follows in Johnson Cemetery.  Sis. Smith will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.  Visitation for family and friends is scheduled for Friday evening (June 10th) from 3-6:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel.  On Saturday afternoon at 2:30, the processional will leave the Family residence located 405 Arrington Street, Livingston.      Mary Eleanor Smith was preceded in death by four aunts, Leatha DeLoach, Emily Jones, Lillie Bell Graves and Lue Jean Scott and one uncle, Early Powell.     Those she leaves to celebrate her life and to cherish precious memories are:  two daughters, Amy Lorraine Smith and Clarice Yvonne Smith, both of Alabaster, Alabama;  two sisters, Lucendia Clark, Detroit, Michigan and Emily C. Jordan of Douglasville, Georgia;  two nieces, Anulet (Russell) Jones, Louisville, Kentucky and Kaeyava Ivy, Detroit, Michigan;  one nephew, Jerome Clark, Detroit, Michigan;  one great nephew, Juwan Clark and one great niece Aniya Ivy; two aunts, Annie Beard, Detroit, Michigan and Georgia Powell of York, Alabama;  one uncle, Henry Lee Scott, Meridian, Mississippi and numerous other cousins, and a host of relatives and friends who loved her dearly.     To the entire Smith family, we at Weatherly Funeral Home offer to each of you our most sincere and heartfelt sympathies and condolences.  Our prayer remains that your abiding faith in God will continue to comfort, to strengthen and sustain you during your time of bereavement.     In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the following:Chilton-Shelby Mental Health110 Medical Center DriveClanton, AL 35045Attn: JanicePlease include on donations:In Memory of Mary Eleanor Smith
