LOUIS DuBOSE, III, age 72, of York, Alabama, known affectionately as "Cleveland", born to the late Louis and Liberty Ward DuBose, Jr. passed at his residence May 28, 2016. Service of Remembrance is to be held Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from First Baptist Church, 254 McConnell Street, York, with Pastor Jonathan Byrd delivering the eulogy and offering words of consolation. "Cleveland" will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time. Interment follows in Ward, Alabama in Ward Chapel Cemetery. After the committal service the family will receive friends for Fellowship and repast in the cafeteria of York West End Jr. High School. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled Friday evening, (June 3rd) from 3-6:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel. On Saturday morning at 10:45 the processional will line up at the DuBose residence, located 305 McConnell Street. Those who remain to celebrate his life and to cherish precious memories are: his children - Louis Dees, Kevin (Rochelle, deceased) Maye, Stonnie DuBose, all of York, Alabama, Gloria (Bernard) Horn, Lisman, Ala., Sandra (Stephen) Clark, Huntsville, Al., Lisa (John) Mitchell, Epes, AL., Joely Moss, Meridian, MS, and Angel (Michael) of York, Alabama; nineteen (19) grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters - Gloria DuBose, York, AL., Dorothy DuBose, Tuscaloosa, AL; brothers- James Roy (Geneva) DuBose, York, AL., Alphonzo DuBose, Tuscaloosa, AL., Lonzie DuBose, Butler, AL., and Freddy Chaney of Birmingham, AL., sisters-in-law, Lizzie DuBose, York, Al., Maggie Dees, Ward, AL., Gracie (Willie) Gordon, Jackson, MS., and Mary (Doc) Lake, Ward, Al., brothers-in-law, Maurice Dees, Boston, MA and Frank Dees, Jr., of Meridian, MS., a host of nieces nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.
