Walter "Pip" Cooper

     Walter “Pip” Cooper Jr ., age 78 of York, Alabama, born in Lauderdale County, Mississippi to the late Walter and Lucinda Dennis Cooper Sr., passed at Regency Hospital, Meridian,Mississippi on December 15, 2015. A graveside Service of Remembrance will be held Friday December 18, 2015 at 1:30 pm in Pack Cemetery, Lauderdale, Mississippi. Rev. Tyrone Thomas will deliver the eulogy and offer words of consolation. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled for Friday from 11:00-12:00 in the Weatherly Chapel. The Processional leaves from the funeral home at 1:00 for the cemetery.        He leaves to cherish his precious memories; a Son, Tommy Cooper of Birmingham, Alabama, his daughter, Lucinda Cooper Whitlock of Meridian, Ms., six step-children, Linda Miller, York, Alabama, Betty Barnes of Livingston, Alabama, Ruby Dixon and Joann Johnson, both of Buffalo, N.Y., Rosie Hopson, Meridian, Ms. and Johnnie R. Gibbs of Los Angeles, Ca.  He is proceeded in death by three sons; Walter Jr, Robert Earl , and Henry Lee Cooper; seven siblings; Irving, Henry Lee , Ela Mae , B.C., Lillie Mae, Mamie Lee, and R.C. Cooper.  He is further survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, and to also cherish his memories the Oliver Barrett Family.        To the Cooper Family, we at Weatherly Funeral Home, offer to each of you our most sincere and heartfelt sympathy.
