James O'Casey Grant

James "Casey" Grant, age 49, of 100 F.N. Nixon Circle York, Alabama, passed August 7, 2015 at 5:38 pm in Anderson Regional Medical Center, Meridian, Mississippi. Service of Remembrance is Saturday August 15, 2015 at 11am from Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, York, Alabama. Rev. Ronnie Walk, pastor, will deliver the eulogy and offer words of consolation. Casey will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time. Interment follows in the adjacent Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled Friday, August 14, 2015 from 3-6pm in the Weatherly Chapel. He leaves to cherish his precious memories; a wife Doris Grant, of Selma, Alabama; two daughters- Samantha Effinger of Brent, Alabama and Katherine Effinger, Selma, Alabama; a son, Michael Harris, Selma, Alabama; a loving mother, Pauline Lake, York, Alabama, Father, Eugene (Linda) Grant , Baton Rouge, Louisiana; three sisters, Mary (Donald) Jones, York, Alabama, Tami Grant and Nyja (Jeff) Walker, both of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; two Brothers, John Hill, Savannah, Georgia, and Brandon Jacobs, Napoleonville, Louisiana; one grandson, Jon'Kaiden Broadnax of Brent, Alabama. Preceded in death are stepfather, Earnest Lake, two sisters, Melissa Grant and Joii Wiggins, three brothers- Earnest Lake Jr., Gary Lake, and Robin Grant.
