YVONNE D. MOSS, age 63, of the Fourth Creek Community of York, Alabama, passed at her residence April 16, 2015. Service of Remembrance will be Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 12:00 noon from Bethel Pine Baptist Church, Coatopa. Rev. Mitchell Carter will deliver the eulogy and offer words of consolation; Rev. Floyd O. Bell is church pastor. Ms. Moss is to lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time. Interment follows in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Highway 80 East. On Friday evening (April 24th) the family will receive friends for visitation from 3-6:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel; with the 6-7:00 p.m. hour designated for the Wake with Sorority and Eastern Star affiliations having their ceremonies. The processional will leave from the Moss residence, located 3197 Lynn Bennett Road at 11:20 a.m. Saturday morning. After the committal service, the family will fellowship having repast in the cafeteria of Sumter Central High School. Those who remain to celebrate her life and to cherish precious memories are: a loving, devoted daughter, Dr. Elica M. Moss, Madison, Ala., her mother, Mrs. Corine M. Oakley, Cleveland, Ohio, four sisters - Carolyn (William) Felder, Saralene O. Toombs and Diane Oakley, all of Cleveland, Oh., and Denise L. (Vernon) Mitchell, Chicago, Il; three brothers- Charles Oakley, Cleveland, Oh., Theodore Walker, Long Beach, Calif., and Jerome Hood, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; three aunts- Dora M. (Alex, Jr.) Campbell, Mildred M. Evans and Edna M. Williams, York, Alabama; a great aunt, Mattie Chaney, York, Al., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends who loved her dearly.
